The shrimp are typically marinated in a mixture that includes honey, along with other ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice. The marinade infuses the shrimp with a sweet and tangy flavor while keeping them tender and juicy. It pairs well with rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a shallow dish or a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Marinate the shrimp for 15-30 minutes, depending on how much time you have. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water during this time as well.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using skewers, thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers.
  4. Once the grill is hot, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking. Place the shrimp skewers directly on the grill or use a grill basket if you prefer. Reserve the marinade.
  5. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Baste the shrimp with the reserved marinade during grilling to enhance the flavor and create a glossy glaze.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the shrimp for extra flavor.
  7. Serve the honey-glazed grilled shrimp immediately with your favorite side dishes or as part of a seafood platter.

Enjoy your honey-glazed grilled shrimp!
